Green Seed FAQ
A living reference to calm curiosities, offer orientation, and reflect our ethos.
Q: What exactly is Green Seed Arts?
A growing ecosystem of programs, gatherings, and resources designed to help people learn, create, and connect in regenerative ways. It’s not a single course—it’s a cultural garden.
Q: Is this just for kids or families?
Nope. While many of our offerings are kid-friendly or family-centered, we’re cultivating spaces for all ages—especially facilitators, elders, and visionaries. If something here sparks your curiosity, you’re welcome.
Q: Is it really about 'the arts'?
Yes—and. We believe the arts are more than performance or piece. They're how we remember, connect, imagine, and repair. Our work lives at the intersection of creativity, culture-making, and ecological literacy. So while you’ll find painting, storytelling, music, and play—you’ll also find systems thinking, retreat design, and regenerative education. It's all part of the same creative ecology.
Q: Do I have to be local to Santa Cruz?
Not necessarily. Some of our offerings are rooted in place, but others—like digital resources and future collaborations—are designed to travel.
Q: Is this a nonprofit?
We’re a purpose-driven venture with a regenerative funding model. That means we reinvest in people, land, and ideas that align with our vision—and we’re working toward a hybrid structure that lets us stay flexible and grounded.
Q: I reached out but haven’t heard back…
We tend our inbox slowly and with care. If you filled out the interest form, your thread is in the weave—and we may reach out when the moment is right. If it’s time-sensitive, feel free to gently nudge us.
Q: How can I support this work?
We’d love that. You can give through our upcoming seed fund campaign, help spread the word, or just be part of the field by using and sharing our free resources (coming soon).
Q: Where do I start?
The Now Tending page is a great place to begin. From there, you can explore offerings and will soon be able to download a printable, or add your thread to our collaborative journal.
Q: What if I just want to browse?
Totally welcome. This site is designed to be useful and inspiring whether you engage deeply or simply gather ideas for your own world-building. There will be more resources added over the next weeks, so feel free to come on back and check on us anytime.
This page will grow over time as more questions arise.
