Village Making: Summer Series
Enjoy a slow, relaxing summer without sacrificing enrichment, socialization, or all your adult time. Our summer workshops support families with flexible opportunities for connection and creative nourishment.
For Children

Weetopia Garden Play
Branciforte Small Schools Garden
Wednesdays in June, 1 – 4pm
Sliding Scale $30-$50 per session
Recommended for ages 6 – 11
These workshops invite children into playful, collaborative experiences that blend storytelling, art, small-world play, and practical skills. Each gathering offers space for curiosity, creativity, friendship, and child-led ideas to emerge naturally through engaging projects and shared experiences.
What We’ll Explore
Activities may include:
• Gardening and stewardship projects
• Small-world village making and imaginative play
• Nature crafts and sensory activities
• Storytelling, skits, and collaborative games
• Design challenges and creative building
• Mixed media art projects
• Herbalism, potions, mud kitchen play, and nature-based exploration
• Meaningful conversations about community, creativity, and caring for the living world
Through play, collaboration, and hands-on projects, children strengthen creativity, communication, confidence, problem-solving, and social connection in an organic and enjoyable way.
What the Atmosphere Feels Like
The workshops are mixed-age friendly, lightly facilitated, and designed to feel relaxed, imaginative, and welcoming. The structure allows room for both guided activities and child-led exploration, with an emphasis on collaboration and innovation.
We'll spend most of our time outdoors, making things with our hands, following curiosity, and building genuine connection. Social-emotional growth is woven naturally into the experience.
